Lovely stay at hotel indigo. Staff were all very friendly, and we received quick service. Spacious facilities, I enjoyed that there were two pools and a lot of seating areas.The beach in front of the hotel was kept very clean. We had half board, which included a buffet breakfast and three course dinner. The food had good flavour and we really enjoyed several dishes. However, the quality was inconsistent — the fish was dry, and the same meal ordered on different days was noticeably different in taste and presentation, with that said we stayed for 4 nights and definitely had more excellent meals. I would recommend this hotel and would return myself.

We had a pleasant stay at Holiday Inn. The staff were amazing, and we were very satisfied with the hospitality. The food was decent. One of the reasons we chose Holiday Inn was because of the facilities that cater to kids. We didn’t plan to go out, as we wanted to spend our entire time at the hotel. It is truly kid-friendly, and we will definitely come back.

Boasting cosy and bright-coloured living space, Cassia Bintan, part of Banyan Group is located in Lagoi, 44 km from Desaru. We had a wonderful stay at Cassia Bintan with my wife and our 5-year-old daughter. We loved the hotel, the access to the pools (including those of the neighbouring property), the delicious food, and above all, the kindness and warmth of the entire staff. The beach right in front of the hotel is stunning, with warm, crystal-clear water — truly paradise. Unfortunately, our daughter was stung by a jellyfish during one of our beach outings. It was a very painful experience that took about three days to stabilise and will take a few more weeks to fully heal. That said, I want to give special recognition to the hotel staff. As I ran carrying my daughter in pain, they immediately came running with a spray bottle of vinegar to neutralise the sting and helped remove some of the stingers. They also arranged transport to the clinic, where she received the necessary medical care. Upon our return to the hotel, they provided us with a bucket of ice and towels to take to our room and help ease the pain — which we had to apply for the next two days. Thankfully, she is now recovering well. Despite this unfortunate incident, it was still an unforgettable experience, and we are grateful for the care and support we received from everyone at the hotel.

Boasting an outdoor pool with sweeping bay views and an 3 dining options, Grand Lagoi Hotel Bintan provides a relaxing get away in Lagoi. The food and people are pretty nice here. The staff are friendly and helpful.

Homm Laguna Bintan is nestled along a private beach on Tanjong Said Bay overlooking South China Sea. It offers water sports facilities at its marine centre. The property is clean and it has variety of activities. Spa, swimming pool is huge and amazing. It also has a kids club. The 3 properties Banyan Tree, Angsana and Cassia are interconnected so we can choose from an array of restaurants. The people working provided exceptional hospitality. Specially Tata who served us at reception. And at the Lotus cafe the lady was so lovely to provide us with egg free pastries on request. Vegetarian options are basic but its all good quality of food. The hotel rooms had exceptional view. All in all we wished we stayed anothet night.

Set on the beaches of Lagoi, this resort offers chalets with a thatched roof, a private terrace and garden or sea views. It houses a spa and provides free WiFi. We had sea facing chalets with the gentle sounds of the water in the background. The chalets were good quality and large enough for a comfortable stay. Spice Indian Restaurant, near Mayang Sari was good.
