Located in Beppu in the Oita region, with Yukemori Observatory and Yama Jigoku nearby, OMOLOSO Hostel オモロソウ ホステル provides accommodation with free private parking, as well as access to a hot spring... The location is amazing. It's convenient, close to public transport and also close to many sightseeing areas. You also get a great view of Beppu from the area around the hostel. The interior of the hostel is fantastic, you could spend hours looking at all the decorations and talking about your favorite shows. Tosi was also an incredible host who went above and beyond to make my stay as special as possible.

Lovely place about a 10-15 minute walk from the train station. We were there on 2 cold days in March but our room was warm with a heater and electric blankets. Very comfortable beds and an onsen in the room. We had a beautiful view out our window and in nice weather it would be lovely to sit outside but not on this visit. You eat downstairs in a pleasant dining room. The 2 dinners were fabulous and well prepared but we couldn't eat much of the breakfast (it was all Japanese), other guests loved it. But on the second day the cooks made us a delicious breakfast that kept us going all day. The owner is very helpful, he cares a lot about his guests, he's still working on the place and it will be really nice when it's done.

Kominka neri（古民家煉り） is situated in Miyawaka, 12 km from Azenomachi Ehon Museum, 13 km from Ino Tensho Kotai Jingu Shrine, as well as 14 km from Hisasue Park. Everything! Charming staff. Beautiful room and gardens. Lovely onsen bath. Exceptional food. Restaurant staff fantastic with helpful English hand drawn menus. Clean, bright and well maintained.

Soil er með fjallaútsýni og býður upp á gistingu með garði, grillaðstöðu og sameiginlegri setustofu, í um 30 km fjarlægð frá Egao Kenko Stadium Kumamoto. Super cosy with full facilities. Good size for two pax. We ate in almost every other day. Simple kitchenware was provided. The scenery was simply amazing - so peaceful and quiet. Felt like a homestay experience. Great base to explore the Aso region.

We loved everything about our stay! The staff was very friendly and welcoming. The room was very comfortable and spacious enough for our family of 5. The tub on the porch was amazing. Grilling out on our front porch was very fun and the heaters made it nice and warm even in winter. We enjoyed morning yoga, fire pit s'mores and the free drinks and mocktails from the garden kitchen. There is an incredible park within walking distance. So much fun!

Himawari er staðsett í Minami Aso, 36 km frá Suizenji-garði og 39 km frá Kumamoto-kastala. Boðið er upp á garð og útsýni yfir hljóðláta götu. The host was super nice! I felt right at home when I arrived and was greeted by him. Despite my broken Japanese we had a wonderful conversation duriqqng my dinner. The room was lovely and everything was super clean. I would definitely recommend to stay at Himawari!

Boasting an open-air bath, garden and views of mountain, Ikkoten is situated in Yufu, 50 km from Crasus Dome Oita. This ryokan offers free private parking and full-day security. Loved the traditional ryokan vibe and the scenery. Loved the kaiseiki breakfast.

SEKIYA RESORT Terrace Midoubaru is located a 15-minute drive from JR Beppu Station and boasts guestrooms with a semi open-air bath. Guests can soak in the hot spring bath. The property had everything we needed but was still close enough to a convenience store, restaurants and other attractions.
