Located in Beppu in the Oita region, with Yukemori Observatory and Yama Jigoku nearby, OMOLOSO Hostel オモロソウ ホステル provides accommodation with free private parking, as well as access to a hot spring... We stayed three days in Beppu over New Year's. The apartment was clean, the room was specularly decorated (we're Pokémon fans, so we couldn't have asked for better) and the futons were quite comfortable. Toshi-san is a great host and involved us in many traditional Japanese customs while we were there. Location is great too, with many onsens, restaurants and the hells of Beppu well within walking distance. Definitely recommend!

The location was perfect for me, 10 minutes walking from the train / bus station and on top of a light hill, so the view from our room was incredibly nice. (This also means that if you are going on foot you have to walk uphill, no big deal for us, but if you have heavy luggage it could be difficult). Both dinner and breakfast were japanese-style, but not too traditional on both taste and texture (I say this as a plus, because my partner is not keen on super traditional Japanese cooking and still managed to eat most of his breakfast). We were also offered non-meat options beforehand, which is great! The building is a mixture of western and japanese styles, so for example the common room has high tables and chairs and a parquet, while the rooms have tatami. Everything was lovely, the common area had a beautiful terrace with a view, our room had a small balcony with outside seats and a private onsen bathtub. The owner is a very nice man and we chatted during dinner. We speak good enough Japanese, so language wasn't a problem, but the owner also speaks good enough English and is very helpful. We had free access to coffee, tea and water from the common room and two complimentary water bottles in the room.

Kominka neri（古民家煉り） is situated in Miyawaka, 12 km from Azenomachi Ehon Museum, 13 km from Ino Tensho Kotai Jingu Shrine, as well as 14 km from Hisasue Park. The onsen in the room was fantastic. The room was huge and had a great traditional feel. The garden outside and the shogi screens really gave it a cosy feeling.

GALLERIA MIDOBARU er staðsett í Beppu, 25 km frá Oita Bank Dome og býður upp á gistirými með garði, ókeypis einkabílastæði, veitingastað og bar. Hotel’s design, food quality is great! Hot spring in the room is perfect!

Soil er með fjallaútsýni og býður upp á gistingu með garði, grillaðstöðu og sameiginlegri setustofu, í um 30 km fjarlægð frá Egao Kenko Stadium Kumamoto. Very convenient facilities and the host is amazingly friendly and helpful.

THE Retreat er staðsett í 4,5 km fjarlægð frá Nakamura-listasafninu og 5,7 km frá Japan Spinning Top-safninu en það býður upp á herbergi með loftkælingu og sérbaðherbergi í Iizuka. We have a nice day in the Retreat. Although the weather is not good on the day of arrival (so heavy rain), but we got a happy day in the tent and we enjoy the delicious BBQ so much . The staff Mr. Siu Chi Yung is so nice and he help us to play the fireworks outdoor, the kids are so happy about that . He also help us to arrange the tennis court when we needed help. Thank you so much , Mr. Siu Chi Yung ☺️

Himawari er staðsett í Minami Aso, 36 km frá Suizenji-garði og 39 km frá Kumamoto-kastala. Boðið er upp á garð og útsýni yfir hljóðláta götu. The owner was so welcoming. Facility was well decorated and super clean. We got upgraded to a better room, which had view of Mt Aso. Bed was comfortable. Hotel looks better than the photos.

Akarinoyado Togetsu er staðsett í Beppu á Oita-svæðinu, skammt frá Yama Jigoku og Beppu. Boðið er upp á gistirými með ókeypis einkabílastæði og aðgangi að gufubaði. The dinner and breakfast both exceeded our expectations as did all staff we encountered. Appreciated the shuttle back to the station after we checked out.

Boasting an open-air bath, garden and views of mountain, Ikkoten is situated in Yufu, 50 km from Crasus Dome Oita. This ryokan offers free private parking and full-day security. Great location. Very friendly and helpful staff. Very original architecture and interior designs.

SEKIYA RESORT Terrace Midoubaru is located a 15-minute drive from JR Beppu Station and boasts guestrooms with a semi open-air bath. Guests can soak in the hot spring bath. The property had everything we needed but was still close enough to a convenience store, restaurants and other attractions.
