Great location inside the castle walls and close to hundreds of cafes and eating places. Easy walking distance to town and the lake. Staff were exceptional..always cheerful and willing to help. Changed breakfast when they realised we weren't eating the bread and sweet foods and provided fresh fruit, yoghurt salad and eggs instead. Highly recommend Hotel Kastro.

We stayed at Montana Lake View for 6 nights in October. Katerina is an incredibly hospitable and kind hostess who knows all there is to see in and around the region of Ioannina. The rooms are very clean and the beds comfortable. Every morning we received a delicious breakfast from Katerina (with a spectacular view of the lake and the island) and we would walk through our plans for the day. She always had some additional recommendations and was very helpful. The first night, she even drove us to the city centre so we could take a (€10) taxi back and have some drinks in Ioannina. She also arranged a guided hike with her husband Dimitri along the Aoos river to one of the monasteries near Konitsa, which was beautiful and not too hard. We can 110% recommend staying here!

Our studio was newly appointed, had everything you need. The place was very clean and quiet and within a block’s distance we were lakeside. Within a couple of blocks of KTEL. The management helped us with everything we needed.
