Hostel is an old house itself, get some tradition vibes and the location was great, close to House Project (right in front of Minamidera). It was cozy and clean, the air conditioning was great because it was cold outside.

I went to Naoshima for the day and loved it so much I didn’t want to leave! I managed to get a booking at Bamboo village from the island! the owner was very helpful and accommodating of my last minute booking and made recommendations for restaurants and then rang around everywhere trying to get me a booking ..he found a great place for me. best sashimi I have eaten in Japan. my room was warm and Cosy and the place is well equipped with free coffee etc I would definitely recommend this place for the helpfulness of the owner and the cosyness :) by the way if you only do 1 day in Naoshima you will rush around like crazy … it’s such a brilliant island I would at least stay one night so you have time to take it all in . the museums are amazing but also are the landscapes.

The host was friendly, he offers bike for free. The room was very clean and the area was quite with few restaurants around. Location is not very central but the island is so tiny, so it really doesn't matter. There is a bus station nearby which was super convenient!
