United StatesThe house was in an amazingly good shape with their traditional architectural style intact! While the bathrooms were not attached to the bedrooms because the house could not be remodeled to change the existing structure (as it is designated as a Protected Traditional House), each bedroom had an assigned private bathroom with a good shower and fancy amenities. This probably is the closest you can get living like a Josun Dynasty aristocrat in the modern day Korea. The owner lady was very helpful in providing tips for restaurants and things to do and see and very attentive to our comfort. While it is conveniently located (if you have a rental car) to explore the whole South Western provinces of Korea (UNESCO World Heritage Site tidal flats!), I thought that just staying in the house perched on the wooden floor looking out beautiful trees and drying persimmons with a book in hand itself was a huge treat. I would definitely stay here again!

We felt we were travelling back in time! It is located in a small village surrounded by rice fields. It is definitely worth to stay here to see another view of Korea. To get there, we missed the last bus and our hosts were very kind to come and pick us up! There is also a train station at 30 minutes walk in the rice fields (we did that the next morning) but there are just few trains per day.Guest review byHervéYoung couple

It has been immaculately restored to original condition with an up to date Bathroom. The host is such a wonderful person who makes you feel completely welcome and at home. The host was lovely and provided delicious breakfast. The rooms were spacious and clean, with underfloor heating. Overall the stay was comfortable, but you should expect a traditional bed (futon)! We initially considered traveling by train, but decided to rent a car instead - with hindsight, this was the best way to go, especially if you want to travel to nearby attractions (e.g. tea plants) or restaurants.
