I left two pouches with my passport, money, and everything important I was traveling with at the Guest House Nena when I departed to take a ferry back to San Jorge. I had no idea I had left them! They were under a sheet on the bed that I had inadvertently covered them with. After the people at the Guesthouse found my pouches and their valuable contents, they looked around for me, and the young lady from the Nena eventually ended up boarding ferry before we left and asked for me. Fortunately, she found me. I thanked her profusely and gave her a hug. I was extremely happy and grateful to have my stuff and to have adverted a semi-disaster. I owe that girl and the Guest House Nena in Moyogalpa….

Lovely hostel, about 15 minute walk from the ferry terminal less than 1km. In a quiet area. Great communal area with huge hammocks. Cutest cat called Gina , use of a communal kitchen too. Owner Antonio is really helpful. Delicious breakfast, pancakes, banana and coffee.

If you want a peaceful sleep at night without the constant sound of dogs barking…this is your place. So quiet. The owners are there to help you. On site there are cows, horses, talking parrots and a beautiful (non barking dog)😁 It truly is a magical place…I’ve been to Moyogalpa 4 times now and this is by far my favourite. Danilo was the perfect host. The property was very clean and new, with a nice garden area. Danilo was helpful in every aspect. Whether it was getting a great deal for a scooter, or recommendations on where to eat or what activities were available, he was on top of it all. You get a great place to stay and a wealth of information. You will not do better at this price point. Thank you Danilo
