The Shimbwe Meadows Guest House is a place to go, when you want to meet nice people and experience Tanzanian hospitality. The Guest House is located in a little village - the last kilometers are rough roads. The home is exceptional not for its luxury. Victor, the host, is a very kind and social person. Ask him about his ideas and projects and you will learn a lot! The staff was so kind (Talk to the cook and you will get vegetarian dishes!) and friendly that we felt at home immediately. While our room was relatively small, this did not matter at all, because the guest house has such a nice balcony with wonderful views on Mr. Meru and Kilimanjaro. And there is so much to discover in the immediate neighbourhood. Once you step out of the Guest House you are surrounded by Banana, Coffee and Avocado plants. It is green all over. Ask for a local tour!
