The location is nice - within the old town (the fortress), everything is in walking distance. The staff is kind and hospitable, gave me some advice about sunset, etc. The room was new, clean and spacious. The breakfast - big and delicious. The staff kept my luggage after checking out and also I managed to hang my laundry during the day. Would stay again!

Very comfortable and clean guesthouse. The breakfast was great. The hosts very kindly let me check-in early when I arrived in the morning on the train. It’s about a 15-20 minute walk from the train station on a pedestrian path that is nice and flat. The house is located right outside the eastern gate (polvon darvoza) directly behind the Said Niyaz Shali Karabay Mosque.

A good location for a relaxing holiday in Khiva, Khiva Khan Hotel is a guest house surrounded by views of the city.

We enjoyed a lot our stay in this fantastic guest house. Great location - near Itchan Kala West Gate and very close to a restaurant. Very good breakfast (we loved the peanuts!). Comfortable room, with refrigerator. We are very thankful to the family, not just because of their hospitality, but also because they were very helpful when we needed to go to the doctor and to buy medicines.

I stayed at Shodlik Guesthouse for two nights, and I truly enjoyed my stay. The location couldn’t be better. The guesthouse is inside Ichan Kala, which gives you the unique opportunity to explore it at any time of day, especially early mornings or late evenings, when it’s peaceful and perfect for photography. Even attractions outside, like Nurullaboy Palace, are close by. Plus, you’ll find banks for currency exchange and plenty of restaurants both inside and outside the area. The staff were extremely kind and welcoming. They greeted us warmly and kindly allowed us an early check-in, and because our room wasn’t ready at that time, they offered us another one to rest in until it was prepared. I booked a Deluxe Double Room, which was spacious and very clean. The room was large, the bed was super comfortable, and the whole place was very quiet – perfect for a relaxing stay. Breakfast was tasty and varied, with everything you need to start the day energized. The Wi-Fi connection was also reliable. Thanks Shodlik Guesthouse team for making my stay so enjoyable. I would highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Khiva!

This was perfect; my first stop in Uzbekistan after a very long trip. Hotel arranged taxi was waiting at airport, owner met me at front door on arrival and had fantastic breakfast ready in minutes. Room was large and importantly dark and cool on a very hot day/week. Very nice bathroom as well. Small personal hotel as opposed to large tourist hotels you often find. Good WiFi. Location is quiet, but only 5-10 minute walk to most major sites in Khiva. I was only in Khiva 2 days (I think that is enough unless you do day tours out of the city) but would have happily stayed at Khiva Amir Tora for several more days just for the comfort.
