Waldhof is very clean and well-maintained pension. The bed was comfortable and the balcony had a nice view of the mountains. During hot summer days, the air in the rooms is cooler, which is a relief after a full day of hiking and walking in the sun. The breakfast is always fresh, the host is very nice, kind, and helpful. We communicated in English, so the fact that I don't speak German was not a problem. For those who do not come by car, there's a bus station nearby. Waldhof is conveniently located about halfway between Salzburg and Fuschlsee, making it easy to visit the city one day and head in the opposite direction the next day, to bathe in one of the region's lakes or at least see their incredible blue water. (The app Sbg Verkehr is useful for checking bus schedules in real time or buying tickets.) Additionally, from Waldhof, it is easy to go into the forest, hike in the surrounding mountains and enjoy the view if you reach the Nockstein peak. Here, you don't feel like a client in a hotel, but rather like a guest in a home. A really nice experience.

Hohensalzburg Fortress is 2.7 km from Pension Ballwein, while Getreidegasse is 2.8 km away. The nearest airport is W. A. Mozart Airport, 3 km from the property. Many who let out apartments and rooms expect the highest possible rating. The rating system can be deceptive. Only once around the world have I actually considered the highest rating possible. That is Ballwein. Why? Because this pleasant, kind, warm and welcoming couple has managed to pull off something exceptional despite no other staff than themselves. From our arrival to the unavoidable departure everything was amazing. The place is located just 2,5 km from Salzburg centre, which you easiest reach by bus. The apartment looked brand new. The breakfast had a presentation and taste that was second to none. So, Daniela and Simon, Congratulations!

It features an outdoor pool, free WiFi access, and en suite rooms with satellite TV. Wonderful and quiet location. The room was efficient and clean. We had a good rest. We also got free train tickets to go into Salzburg and Josef was lovely. The breakfast was delicious, overall a great stay and a positive experience.

Located in a historic town house, right in the heart of Salzburg, the family-run arte vida boutique guesthouse offers a garden with a seating area and features rooms with Moroccan-style furniture. Please note that the arte vida boutique guesthouse has no lift. The Getreidegasse, with Mozart’s birthplace, is just a 5-minute walk away. We cannot.recommend arte vida strongly enough. From location to space to.comfort to originity to all the little thoughtful touches and Alina's infinite helpfulness, our stay was just immaculate. We'll be back.

This family-run bed and breakfast offers bright rooms with cable TV and minibar. I liked everything about this hotel. Safe and quiet location, good for solo travellers like myself. You can walk to the city centre (15 min), or take a bus (the nearest bus stop is just 2 minutes away from the hotel). It’s nice that breakfast is included.
