Breakfast was great. Local bread, cereals and tea/ coffee perfect for us. Our hostess was super friendly, nothing was too much trouble and even brought pain relief tablets when my partner said his shoulder was sore from all the driving the day before. Very restful and tasteful décor. Great bed and bath. We really relaxed here.

Our host was lovely and very helpful, speaks excellent English. We had a very comfortable overnight stay and an excellent breakfast. Our room was spacious and well equipped. It is a beautiful old house tastefully decorated and furnished. As we were travelling out of season and on a Monday the local restaurant was closed so we had to travel to the next village for our evening meal. It wasn't a problem but you may be advised to book a restaurant in advance.

What a beautiful and well-appointed cottage! I would love to come back in the summer and explore the garden . Breakfast in the main house with other travellers, a roaring fire, and wonderful food was more than we expected. Our host was super helpful with our minimal French!

Chateau de Lissac is a 13th-century castle offering bed and breakfast accommodation right next to Causse Lake, 11 km from Brive-la-Gaillarde. The Chateau itself is beautiful and the rooms spacious and comfortable. The hosts were exceptional, and went way beyond what could be expected, including providing transport for us to tourist destinations, into town and to the airport when we left. Overall a wonderful experience and a great start to a French holiday.
