There are restaurants nearby, although they are not of the highest quality. For shops, you need to drive a bit further. The host has lived in Germany and speaks fluent German. This way, we were also able to ask a few more questions about Jamaica. :-)

The locals are very nice and you get to see a side of Jamaica you wouldnt see anywhere else. Its like a little pocket in paradise. Feels like a secluded camp ground with cabins. They have a nice beach that is sheltered by coral so you can swim around without the waves disturbing you. Its a great experience. Come with plenty of sodas and snacks because there is only a small market up the street. Come with anything you may need for a few days including bottled water. They do serve a nice breakfast and dinner on the premises for fee and it is good.
