We love everything about this place! The hospitality of the owner, the tatami room, the mountain view from the room, the private onsen, and the breakfast! We got 1 foot massager chair in our room which very helpful to ease my mother in law feet soreness after long walk. The owner offers free pickup back and forth from Yufuin station which is really helpful too. The room itself is very spacious and the futon is super comfortable that we rested well. We ordered breakfast from the owner and it tasted super delicious even though it was a simple Japanese style bento. We really enjoyed and had a great stay at Yufuin Sunday. Totally recommended for people who want to stay out from the crowd, but with ryokan feeling (sleep in tatami room and dip into onsen). Thank you so much!!

Some rooms overlook Mount Yufu, and the private-use hot-spring bath is available 24 hours. An unbelievably helpful host and a beautiful location in lovely Yufuin made this one of the most memorable places that we stayed at in Japan. Highly recommended!
