The whole area is very beautiful! Great scenery with animals, such as ponies, goats, sheep, and alpacas nearby. A great place to rest and enjoy the view. There is a pub in a 5 minute drive where you can enjoy your drinks and a nice meal. The cabin is clean and had all we needed for a 1 night stay.

Located between the start and finish points of the Tongariro Alpine Crossing, Tongariro Holiday Park features a hot tub, barbecue facilities and rooms with either a balcony or a patio. The park was very close to Tongariro National Park, which made things very convenient for our hiking plans. The communal kitchen was clean and had nice equipment, the dishes they provided made cooking meals easy, and they provided the room with a minifridge that helped as well. It was perfect for campers and hikers who are hoping to have a comfy bed after tent camping or hiking a lot!
