The room was very clean and spacious. The homestay is in the middle of Rice fields, so you get to hear frogs and geckos in the evening, which we loved. We didn't have any problem with bugs in the rooms given we were in the middle of fields. The bathroom was very clean as well as the room and nice and new bed sheets. The staff was attentive and welcoming. Lena, from reception, was extremely helpful during our stay. Always attentive to anything we needed and answering any questions. The breakfast was delicious and the amounts were generous. The first night we decided to have dinner there which was a traditional Indonesian dinner. Very good and fresh. All the meals are served on the lovely covered terrace. Lena coordinated a driver for us to explore other nearby areas, including our drive back to Yogyakarta after visiting Merapi Volcano. Our driver, Nur, was more of a tour guide. Extremely generous with his time, spoke English and drove us around many interesting places including picking fruit, Rambutan, from his family property. It was a true pleasure to share time with lovely people at a great place.

Beautiful cabin located in a garden with many plants and trees. Everything is made of wood and looks absolutely gorgeous. The cabin was clean and AC worked well. Our host Berman was also very nice and helpful, we could rent some bicycles to visit the countryside around. It was a great moment. The place is really next to Borobudur Monument, which was also very convenient.

Great location. Great staff. Comfortable room. Great kitchen and dinners if raining at hotel. The bike were a great advantage. Take the time to ride around. There is a small free night school close to the hotel. Stop by and take some items to help the students!

Nice location, room are clean and comfy, super cozy. A sweet escape from the busyness of a city but still not to far from it Breakfast was amazing, really love the Pecel Owner was very friendly and helpful, really nice to talk to him, really unfortunate we couldn’t stay longer, but definitely will comeback The area of the villa is together on a big complex of land, together with a restaurant, a stable/horse riding field, and a rafting place I still dont understand that their review score is only yjis much, because for me it will be 10/10 for real

The staff was very friendly and helpful and the room was large. Within walking distance of Borobudur and the main street with many shops, supermarkets and food, and also. The beds were comfortable, we had airconditioning, and the shower even had warm water. There was a Western style toilet with a hose and also toilet paper.

    If you want to spend time in Borobudur with local hospitality, wellcome to Efata Homestay! It can be a good idea to stay there for a few days and see not only Borobudur temple (don’t forget to buy a ticket online in advance), but also another temples, rice fields and a life of local people. The homestay is close to the main road, but in a quiet place. All what you need is on a walking distance - the temple, restaurants, shops etc. Owners can help you with everything what you need.     It was great homestay to stay, super strategic location near Borobudur (just walking 4 minute) Great hospitality by the host Mr ika 🤗 Thx u for your warm kindness during our stay.     This homestay is amazing, we didn’t want to leave! Is in front of the temple in very centre location but when you go inside the property you don’t listen any noise, so peaceful and calm! Perfect to relax in the beautiful common areas. The bedroom and the bathroom is also very comfortable and clean. And the owner so kind ! Thank you so much

    The best part of Efata Homestay cannot be seen in any photo or description. It is the big heart and the great hospitality of the hosts. It was a great stay with a very clean room and we would have loved to stay longer. I recommend everyone to stay several nights and also to explore the area. I can only recommend the accommodation to anyone who would like to stay in a lovely, authentic homestay.

    The owner and his son were so friendly to me. Felt more like a homestay or a couch surfing and was very natural hanging out with them. They gave me some great info on viewing sunrise and visiting the temple. And they also offered me coffee whenever I saw them. Definitely gave me some warm feelings. The homestay is also incredibly close to borobudur.

    I am grateful to have stayed at Efata homestay. Ika and his wife were extremely welcoming, friendly and helpful. They helped me with information for tickets to Borobudur, Ika himself accompanied me to the Temple and shared insightful information with me. The place is well located, cozy and very quiet. The garden is impressive. Highly recommended.

    Ika und Yanni are exceptionally nice people and made my stay truly memorable. They helped me with everything. Ika even accompanied me to the temple and gave me some first-hand information. Moreover he did a bicycle tour with me and showed me a mushroom and honey manufacture and also took me on his motorbike to Candi Mendut. The breakfast was delicious and every afternoon I got coffee and sweets. The homestay is in walking distance to the temple and city centre.

    I had a great stay at Griyo Jagalan. Friendly Mr Berman and his mum take good care of the room. It was very clean and comfortable. It is homestay in a little fruit orchard. I didn't see any mosquitoes. This is the nearest homestay to the main gate of Borobudur. Yes. NEAREST.
