We stayed for almost a week at Villa Karingal and absolutely loved it. Tucked away on a hillside, about 10 minutes’ drive from busy Senggigi, Villa Karingal is perfect for solitude and relaxation. Gill, the owner and visionary behind the villa, is very welcoming and attentive to detail, with an impressive command of local languages, history, and attractions. Charming Nur is in charge of breakfast, cleaning, and—upon request—a soothing massage. Jai and Deni team up for security, maintenance, and tending the tranquil gardens and pool. Very easy to get Bluebird taxis to and from this pocket of paradise too. We can’t recommend Villa Karingal enough!

This place is an absolute gem! The sea views, the delicious breakfast (get the Nasi goreng!!), the clean and spacious room, and the hospitality are unmatched. Maria, the owner, was so kind and helped organize my ride from the ferry and to my next stay, as well as my bike rental during my stay. The location is central and Maria gave me so many wonderful food and activity recommendations. I cannot recommend Arirang enough.

    This homestay was a great location, all shops and restaurants were a 5-10 minute walk away. The staff were so friendly and did my laundry for early in the morning before I left. The bed in the private room was so comfy and spacious and I was given two towels and there were two fans in the room which worked fine without AC. This place is so peaceful and a great place to chill.

    An amazing homestay- beautiful property & gardens. The pancakes and fruit for breakfast were delicious. Chris was really helpful with organising bikes & laundry for us. We did the waterfalls trip & cooking class which were great value for money and some of the best days of our trip so far. Staff were so friendly, would definitely recommend staying here & doing the waterfall and cooking class!
