It was very comfortable, extremely clean, homely, pretty and provided us warmth during this winter season. Taku was also very friendly, kind and helpful in suggesting food places / areas of attraction which we could explore in Takayama. Would definitely love to come back again!! :)

The staff were friendly and welcoming. They gave a helpful tour of the place on arrival. The common space was clean and had lots of books to read or couches to relax on. The dormitory had lots of room with good curtains for your bed for privacy.

We had a wonderful time at Minshuku Kuwataniya! The location is perfect to discover Takayama by foot, there are lots of restaurants and shops nearby, the rooms and shared bathrooms are really clean, the hostess is very kind and speaks great English!
