Offering mountain views, Mountain Ecolodge is an accommodation situated in Gubukklakah, 24 km from Bentoel Museum and 25 km from Bima Sakti Hall. This property offers access to a terrace, free private parking and free WiFi. The property is non-smoking and is located 23 km from Velodrome Malang. This is the biggest surprise of my Indonesia trip! This place located in a small town near Malang. It runs by a family and Mrs. Mary took 2 of her independent rooms as hotel. There is super nice mountain view and the whole atmosphere is sooo chill. The room is quite big. The host even gave us some passion fruits and papaya grown from their farm. It is not far from Mt. Bromo and Tumpak Sewu - both takes 1.5h to drive there. There are hardly any tourists in this small town and when we were walking to a restaurant, the people were so curious and greeting us friendly, the kids on the street waved to us and say hello. It was such an amazing experience! The sunset of with rice field view in the small town is also really really beautiful. There is also a good and modern restaurant 20 min walk from our stay and it is designed to see the sunset with a big balcony, the food is very nice too

Situated within 36 km of Mount Lamongan and 45 km of Mount Bromo, Brak Homestay features rooms with air conditioning and a private bathroom in Sukobumi. This homestay offers free private parking and full-day security. Lovely home stay, comfy beds, very helpful and kind owner. He told us of all the options to visit Mount Bromo (one could book the tour directly via the owner) and we ended up staying at Brak for 2 nights and doing the Mt Bromo trip directly from Probolinggo. We pre-ordered a Gojek (like Grab) at 2 am for 250k, the driver drove us to Cemorolawang, we did the hike and everything, had breakfast in Cemorolawang, then came back to Probolinggo. We can back with the same driver, but one can easily also use the shared minivans, it is easy to get from Cemorolawang to Probolinggo during the day. When we came back, the owner greeted us with tea and we had a good rest. Doing Mt. Bromo from Probolinggo is easy and less tiresome, we’re happy we chose this way! I can only recommend this guesthouse, this was Indonesian hospitality at its best that we experienced.

Featuring a shared lounge, Harry's Ocean House Pacitan offers accommodation in Pacitan. This homestay features free private parking, a shared kitchen and free WiFi. The accommodation provides airport transfers, while a car rental service is also available. Harry's is the perfect place to wind down in a peaceful coastal town in Java. The general vibe around the place is great, thanks in large part to the owner Tina, and the town of Pacitan and the area around is very scenic as well. Whether the surf is on or not, you'll have a good time here regardless

For guests with children, the homestay offers outdoor play equipment and a baby safety gate. Cycling can be enjoyed nearby. This hotel was the pearl of our trip due to its coziness and atmosphere. The owner of the hotel and his family did everything to make our stay there unforgettable. Delicious home-cooked food, clean comfortable rooms, calm atmosphere, landscape design, everything was great. The organized excursion from the hotel to the beach of Sukamade, where turtles lay their eggs - it was the best adventure of the whole trip.

Situated in Banyuwangi, Mocca Guest House features free WiFi and units fitted with a kitchen, balcony and seating area. The property was built in 2012 and has air-conditioned accommodation with a patio. The guest house features garden views, a sun terrace and a 24-hour front desk. I liked absolutely everything. This homestay is one of the cleanest I have stayed at in my two month trip to Indonesia. The atmosphere is very relaxing, the place looks new and well cared for. The wifi was working perfectly, just like the AC. The room smelled good. It is also very quiet, so I slept like a baby. I stayed in the twin room.. But most of all, the owners, Annie indah and her husband Johannes are the most caring, helpful and friendly people ever! They took good care of me since the moment I arrived by giving me all sort of advice and even helped me book the train ticket! They even invited me for a tea with freshly baked cake. And the breakfast is delicious, a full meal. Annie Indah is a great cook. I really felt at home! If you are in Banyuwangi don't miss the opportunity to stay at this place!

Private parking is available on site at this recently renovated property. The accommodation provides a shared kitchen, full-day security and currency exchange for guests. Really a home away from home, and we only stayed a night, but wished we had stayed longer! Fryda and Imran are so lovely, and super helpful, even before arrival. She helped us with everything, especially as ijen was closed, and how to route to malang on a different train when the main one was full. They also prepared breakfast to go for us super early in the morning, and waited for our taxi with us. The loveliest people.
