The host allowed us to drop off our luggae early which freed us to stroll around the temple nearby and the rest of Atami, all of the host’s recommendations! My friends and I used the common area often as it was filled with natural light and windows across the entire span of the room. The sunrise and sunset were beautiful and we couldn’t have asked for a more perfect stay!

Effective October 1, 2025, a lodging tax will be introduced by ordinance of Takayama City. In addition to the room charge, 100 yen per person per day will be charged. Calm, nice peaceful vibes, everything was perfect. Epic showers.

The combination of tranquility, beauty, and accessibility made this stay unforgettable. If you're looking for a genuine Japanese experience with comfort and soul, this place is perfect. We would absolutely stay here again.

Objekt 馬籠ふるさと学校 Magome Furusato Gakkou smješten je u gradu 'Nakatsugawa', na manje od 1 km od znamenitosti Toson Memorial Museum, te nudi smještaj koji sadrži vrt, besplatno privatno parkiralište,... Cool building, lovely staff, facilities and location. If you want to eat at a restaurant, their recommendation is a good one, and it seemed like the only open place for dinner. Spacious dorms, everything clean and neat.

The room was exceptionally clean, and the staff were friendly and communicative. The apartment was very convenient to many bus lines that run through Shingu. You can take the bus a few steps away from the apartment the main sights.

The room and facilities are clean. The location is very good. It’s near the bus stop and the convenience store. And if you wake up early like me and there’s no bus at that time, you still able walk to the Shingu station. The hostel has 4 bicycles to be borrowed with no charge. You can ride it around the city.

The owner is very nice and speak enough English to be well understood! She knows well about what to do around and can help you with the means of transport. The house is very nice and bigger than usual places you can find in Japan. She brought us to the train station on the last day!
