The property is excellent. Sandeep is a decent guy who is very helpful. The place is super clean and comfortable. It’s basically a secret garden that feels very romantic. I totally recommend it.

We absolutely LOVED our stay udawalawe safari house! After changing our plans and coming to Udawalawe a night earlier than planned (and in need of some luxury), this place was exactly what we needed. The hosts were so friendly, the buffet dinner was delicious and great value and the swimming pool was amazing. They organise safari for us with easy and served breakfast on return. The rooms were well sized and comfy. Would 100% Recommend!

This is a little hidden Gem. This place is new and so clean. But most importantly, the little family that owns it, takes such good care of the house and property. Please do have the rice and curry, its the best we have had since our past 11 rice and curry’s. Its spicy to perfection so do let them know if you don’t like it spicy. You will have total privacy in your own little cabana. Hot water in both Cabanas (1 Cabana has ac but not the other yet so choose what you prefer). Theres a big Hamac were you can lay and watch the monkeys play in the trees. Take the 7hour safari tour with them. They will bring you for breakfast by the river and keep you away from all the other tourists on the reserve so you get more privacy with the Elephants. I would pay 100$/night to stay here compared to many places we have stayed that are sooo not like the pictures and reviews. Don’t hesitate. Its perfect!

It was very peaceful sitting in their beautiful garden, and the orchestra of frogs in the evening was a delight. The rooms were comfortable and spotless. Dimu and his wife were so genuine and lovely, and the curries were delicious. Dimu organised a safari tour with Sumudu as our guide. Sumudu's knowledge and respect for the animals was very much appreciated. We saw many wild elephants, Sambur deer (very rare), deer, wild boar, golden jackals, Buffalo, crocodiles, peacocks, monitor lizards, mongoose and many beautiful birds. One of the highlights of our trip! Thanks for an amazing stay, Dimu!

The host really tries to accommodate every request. My spouse had her birthday, and he helped me organize a surprise safari. The villa is amazing, super well decorated and everything is clean and tidy. You wake up with a view right into the forest. Also always important for me: the bathroom. Great warm shower!

Dasoon is the best. He took care of my family as if we were his family. He arranged a great safari and coordinated taxis and logisics. The food we ate there was the best we had in Sri Lanka.
