The place is brand new, beautiful, very very clean. I advise you to go with your eyes closed you will have no regret. We also booked our safari and taxi with him from Ella to Udawalawe and from Udawalawe to airport and everything went well. He also contacted us directly after our booking to offer us the dinner menu and sent us a message to know if we had arrived in airport. In short go!

Set in Udawalawe, 16 km from Udawalawe National Park, Hasthi Safari Cottage features accommodation with a hot tub, spa facilities and wellness packages. Dasun, the owner, was super nice and organized a safari for us, brought us to the elephant orphanage, and as well to a river, so that we could refresh ourselves on those super hot days. The place is pretty, the room comfortable and the food was really good.
