When we arrived, the room was nothing like the photos. It was dark, depressing, with filthy white walls covered in old stains and grime. The tiny window was broken and opened onto a wall just a few centimetres away—no fresh air, no light. The bathroom was falling apart (see photos). Broken fixtures, damaged walls, everything looked neglected for years. The room was tiny, the bed small and dirty. The worst part? The bedding. Thin sheets, lumpy pillows, and a dusty fleece blanket so gross we had to sleep covered in our own clothes. Breakfast was a joke. Photos online were completely misleading. We left early, asked for a refund for the remaining nights. The owner agreed in person, said Booking would handle it—then ghosted us. Booking later said there’s nothing they can do. I’ve travelled a lot, stayed in cheap hostels and modest hotels. I know what “basic” means. But this place? It’s misleading, dishonest, and absolutely disgusting. If you have any other option—take it.
