Oasis Hostel is great - social, but not a party hostel. Several common spaces to hang out in. I also enjoyed the salsa/bachata classes they offered. Staff was awesome and very helpful.

Helena Hostel is the best hostel in Cali! It's in a perfect position, close to the famous neighborhood S.Antonio, the best salsa club Topa Tolondra and right in the popular park Loma De La Cruz where you can experience local music, dance and culture during the many events that te park offers. The owner of the hostel, Helena, is an incredibly kind person always happy to help and also a great cook (you should try her breakfast or lunch if you'd have the chance). The building has been recently restructured and is very clean. It has a very nice terrace with a nice view! The rooms are comfortable! I recommend this hostel for your stay in Cali!!!

Very quiet and tranquil. The rooftop is awesome. They kept the kitchen and common bathrooms very clean. They have an English copy of Lonely Planet Colombia, so helpful! Having a private hammock in the room is super nice.
