Open from winter 2017 / 2018 and located in Ehrwald in the Tyrol Region, 2.9 km from Tiroler Zugspitzbahn Cable Car, Mellow Mountain Hostel features a sauna a steambath and ski storage space. Free private parking is available on site and there is free WiFi access throughout the property. It is really unique to the ones that I have seen before. What caught my eye was the owner was always after being sustainable, organic and less carbon print. Very helpful staff, especially lady who check in-out us ( maybe the owner:)

Offering free WiFi throughout the property, the non-smoking hostel has a sauna and nightclub. Staff were honestly fantastic - they tried so so hard to accomodate the guests. There was an igloo party one night at the resort (nothing to do with the hostel) and the girl on reception arranged a coach off her own back so the guests could go (as it was hard to get home from) - genuinely fantastic effort. If the bar was just a little quiet the staff often went and had a beer with the guests etc so they felt accommodated. Breakfast was fantastic - really good buffet with hot and cold options - staff were attentive and kept it topped up, food was really well cooked. Location was pretty good - its around a 5 minute drive from the ski resort, and they put shuttles/coaches on morning and night. Bear in mind the prices you pay for accom right at the slopes I really cant complain at all its a great concept. The only thing I could mybe mention location wise is there's not much in the nearby (20 mins walk) town of Hopfgarten - places to eat, and apres ski bars in the town and coming off the slopes, but not really anywhere to drink after about 8pm, (except the hostel itself) unless you get a taxi to the next town Westendorf, which isn't walking distance and was around 30 EUR taxi. The whole place was absolutely spotless - the staff/managers certainly appeared to take a real pride in the place - and why not its lovely. Overall thanks very much guys, had a fantastic time, you were brilliant.

Gustav, Lucy, and Maarten are amazing people who truly put their kindest effort and care into providing an experience that can not be replicated. Remarkable place to stay!

This is an amazing option for budget-conscious travelers! Also the restaurant attached was INCREDIBLE! Would 100% recommend
