Situated in the women's division of the World Heritage-listed Fremantle Prison, this YHA offers a mix of private and shared rooms with access to free WiFi. Guests can also choose to sleep in the actual prison cells. Location: near to the center The room and the toilet were both clean. The room was spacious for our family: 2 kids and 2 adults. The fridge was just appropriate for the size of the room. The airconditioner was functioning good. The front desk staff were very accommodating. The shared areas (kitchen and dining) were also spacious.

The rooms, bathrooms, kitchen, food storage, and the living rooms. The staff at the reception are friendly and very helpful, the guy even helped to carry my luggage to the first floor (thank you!). The room has a decent size, every bed comes with a storage area and locker on the sides, and it's own set of power plugs. The female room and bathrooms are clean, well taken care of, and there's also complimentary body wash in the showers and hair dryer. The kitchen has all the essentials, great for preparing meals, and even has a coffeemaker. There's plenty of space to sit and chill, everyone is so respectful. The wi-fi works well and the location is also good; easy to navigate if you're using the bus, it's only just one ride away from Perth station/airport line. For Muslims, the hostel is also about 300m from the mosque for a quick visit or prayers.

The private room on the 2nd floor is like a hotel, with a basic kitchen (microwave & kettle) and laundry on the first floor. The staff can be very busy during the day but they are very helpful. Just ask for it! You can borrow a hairdryer and a heater during winter time. I feel warm and welcomed by the staff. I’m gonna stay in the same place after I’m back to Perth city!

Beds are good, the kitchen is big and you have a lot of kitchen stuff if you compare to the rest of the hostels in Perth. The staff cleans as much as possible. They are not responsable if someone is not respectful. You have a few freezers and fridges to stock your food. Commons areas are a good place to meet new people ! Just be aware it can noisy especially the weekend because you are located in Northridge. The rapport price quality is unbeatable.
