Size and location of property was fantastic. Kitchen had everything you would need to feed a large group (we had 7 people staying) with plenty of crockery and cutlery and large-sized pots and cookware. Generously stocked with extra stuff to use and borrow like board games, books, kids' bikes, bodyboards, beach chairs, esky etc Both bathrooms, and the powder room, were large and clean. Pet friendly with an enclosed safe garden space for the dogs

The hostel was in a great location very close to the beach and where our event was. They allowed us to book just 1 night. The room was air conditioned and was quite spacious.

Great location, pool, boardwalk, beach access all very good and unit leant itself to a very enjoyable stay

Great location. Nice little holiday home with a big yard for our doggy. It was great to be able walk everywhere. Beds were comfy. Thank goodness for the fans.

The property was amazing - great location and facilities for staying on Straddie. We had actually left an Airbnb accommodation which was not safe and needed a last minute place to stay at midnight. The owner was incredibly accommodating to us and gave us all the info to get in super late, and even checked to make sure we made it okay this morning before even charging us for the room. She was absolutely lovely and honestly this place was super clean with everything you could ask for

Excellent location to learn to Scuba dive. One of the cleanest tidiest backpacker style hostels I have visited, with committed staff, and pleasant atmosphere. The island of Minjerribah/Stradbroke is always pleasant to visit with a genuine island vibe and culture.

For a youth hostel this place is great, large air conditioned rooms with comfy beds (we had a double and a single bunk) with a desk, small fridge and some storage space. It was very quiet too with rooms seeming to be quite soundproof. Only issue was doors closing, that is pretty much all we heard at night. The location is right on beach so perfect for sunset romance, walking distance to roadhouse with burgers etc. and other restaurants - we recommend Stans Chicken n Beer which was an underrated surprise.
