I spent 3 weeks as a solo senior (65 yrs old ) traveller here in a room with a private bathroom. My room was spacious and clean with a smart TV, efficient air conditioning, ceiling fan, comfortable bed and plenty of storage space. The bathroom had great water pressure and the shower had plenty of hot water. The included breakfast buffet had a nice variety of delicious food including vegetarian options. The staff at the hostel were all courteous, accommodating, professional and many spoke excellent English including the very friendly owner/manager Paulo. The wifi connection here was excellent. The hostel has bicycles available to rent. Residents of the hostel get huge discounts on many attractions and businesses in the Praia do Forte vicinity. There was a terrific self service laundry (Lavo) just steps away. This is a fantastic place to stay for solo budget travellers like myself, couples or families with children. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay in this quiet well managed hostel and would definitely return when visiting Praia do Forte.
