The host was incredibly friendly and I found the property to be very clean and well looked after. There is a drying room to dry clothes and a restaurant at the proterty too. I really enjoyed my stay.

The dinner was EXCELLENT, very high quality cheese, nice wine, great service. We will come again as soon as possible!

On a rail trip from UK thro France Italy and returning via Switzerland this topped our list of our favourite places that we stayed at overnight. 2 things helped, the novelty ex prison conversion and the beautiful old city of Chur. It is a hostel and it gives you the option of eating food that you want (to eat after a week of eating out) in the communal kitchen. The conversion has been to a high standard and the architect has followed a good sustainable approach. We thought it was scrupulously clean and comfortable. The room size was adequate but if you were staying for more than 3 nights you may want more space. Coming here you have already accepted the 'hostel' ethos but you can use it as a room only hotel if you want. Clean, comfortable, quirky and well designed.

Offering a stunning panoramic view over St. Moritz, this hostel provides free public Wi-Fi and a games room with billiards and table tennis. The rooms are bright and modernly furnished. Stayed here several times now. The views from the bedrooms are amazing. Great buffet breakfast and super friendly staff.

I have forgotten the owner's name (I apologize) but she was absolutely amazing. So nice, friendly, caring, helpful, etc. I asked about a local beer at dinner and she just gave us one to try, no charge. So friendly! My own teeny tiny issue was the single bed I had for the night was a slat bed and I am a very big person so some of the slats kept popping out so if you are big like me, maybe ask for a room with a double bed. That said, no hotel is 100% perfect but this is as close as it gets if you just want an affordable, clean, and comfortable place to stay with excellent food for dinner and breakfast, beautiful scenery, and, again, an amazing host who is actively involved and cares about your comfort.
