During my entire stay in China, I think it was at this hostel where everything is 5-star, the people were extremely kind to me, they offered me water every time I arrived and they made you feel at home, the reception was very warm and I will definitely come back and stay here again.

Border Town International Youth Hostel Fenghuang Ancient City Bar Street Branch býður upp á gistirými í Fenghuang. I arrived close to midnight and was given a private room instead of a bunk bed in a dorm, probably to not disturb others sleeping. The staff also provided an extension cable with the appropriate socket for my charger. The location was truly excellent, in the midst of the old town but on a side street, so not nousy as it can be with bars and singing thru late evening.
