Really great location in the old town of Qingdao. The staff were so lovely and had a good level of English so could give us recommendations and answer any questions we had. They gave us a map recommending restaurants offering local food as well as places to get drinks. We only stayed three nights and wish we’d stayed longer. We stayed in a private room so can’t speak for the dorms but the room was lovely and definitely didn’t feel like other private rooms we’ve stayed at in hostels

Very cozy former German style house. Staff is lovely and design including common area and restaurant is very welcoming. Hostel guests get a discount at the restaurant. Good pizza

Great location for us, being accessed easily from the airport. Quiet hotel. Good service, communication no problem with a translating app.
There is lots to like about MG hotel, from the great location (next to old town and down the road from the pier) to the friendly staff, excellent food and comfy rooms. The breakfast buffet is sensational as always and the restaurant that is also open to the public has some of Qingdao's best dumplings. The cleaning staff is amazing at their jobs and the reception staff have always been super helpful - even helped us order some things online for delivery to the hotel!
