In a quiet alley in the old town, serves good and fairly priced food and most of all very accommodating owners - helping and giving advice and also really nice to just talk with them. Would always book here when I’m in Shangri La.

Yi's Hostel is a 10-minute walk from Guishan Park and Moonlight Square. Walking Street is a 15-minute walk away. It felt very authentic and a great location, there’s also a restaurant affiliated with the hotel so you can easily order breakfast lunch or dinner, pricing is equal to what you would find in the other nearby restaurants. I also really love getting to know the staff, a really lovely family who made me feel at home!

Locals are so friendly and very close to everything you could need, yet still quiet. They helped me hire a great mountain bike and I rode 75km/145km of Erhai lake, definitely worth doing!
