While searching out a place to stay in Montanita, finding Omar's spot was a grand slam. I was looking for a place to learn to surf, work on some schoolwork and relax in the meantime and party sometimes. Omar's place was exactly all that and more. If you're looking for a nice quiet, peaceful getaway this is it. I cannot say enough solid things about my experience here. There are alot of places to stay around the world, and most of them are in it for the money - but not this one. I had no real desire to go to Las Tunas, but after backpacking around Ecuador and Peru for a while, all of the favorite people I met on the road seemed to have the exact same recommendation: Go to Onda Hostel. So I texted the hostel owners on Whatsapp, where they proceeded to be somehow genuinely interested in answering my millions of questions over text before I arrived, arranging for transport, and even picking me up a massive guanabana just because I casually mentioned once I'd like to try it. The beds are comfortable, the A/C is cool, and the coffee is endless, but it's truly the people that make this place great. The owners are passionate about building a community and they instill that same stoke in their volunteers. If you're looking to stay in a place with some atmosphere, there is none greater in the Americas. I booked at this hostel for two days and stayed on for weeks, only leaving because I had to. To my new friends that I've made at Las Tunas - Thank you, and I'll be back soon!

Beautiful space and very well maintained. The staff and owners were wonderful and kind, and they were also great to have a chat with, which isn’t always easy to find. The hostel is close to the town and beach, even for lazy people who don’t like to walk much. Mompiche is great and so is the hostel.

The location to the beach and town were a few minute walk. The staff was helpful in obtaining taxis and helpful with the luggage The view from the roof top terrace was wonderful.

Staff and volunteers were very welcoming, helpful and friendly. Location is very close to tasty affordable food, two grocery stores, an ATM as well as the beach. Far enough away from the party to get a good night's sleep. Great place to meet people, party at night and a great place to relax and recover the next day. Nico and David do a great job curating a vibe and perfect atmosphere. 10/10 for those guys.

Such a great location right on the beach and walking distance to a small town with grocery and liquor store. Staff were amazing, comfy beds and good cooking facilities. Nice bar to order drinks, massive pool, fast internet. Such a good vibe, I ended up staying 3 more nights than intended as I was having so much fun. Would highly recommend :)
