Basecamp Wales offers family-run hostel accommodation in Llanllyfni, on the edge of the Snowdonia National Park and 30.3 km from Pen-Y-Pass and 8.2 km to the beach at Dinas Dinlle. Nice place, clean room. Big and well equipped shared kitchen. The staff is very friendly. There are also some lamas and the kids were happy to feed them.

What an absolute gem of a place to stay! The owners were very welcoming, the hostel is spotlessly clean, and such a quirky set up being an old school. Loved that! Highly recommend a stay! I arrived at night but waking up early and seeing the views from the hostel was lovely, its in a beautiful spot! Please take the time to wander along the road to the old slate quarry, well worth a visit!

The living room and the dining room are really cozy. You could make yourself breakfast in the dining room as well. Staff was helpful and friendly. Plenty of good places to eat at near the hostel.

The location was amazing, and it was great value for money. We enjoyed having a coffee in the morning in the little garden, with views of a hillock in the background. You cont find a cheaper place to stay. The mattresses were comfy and the place was clean.
