I had a great experience staying here. The host is a really chill, down-to-earth guy who genuinely cares about his guests. He was very accommodating to my situation and made sure I was comfortable throughout my stay. The room was clean, spacious, and a great place to relax after a long day. At first, I wasn’t planning to do the trekking because it was a bit out of my budget, and we initially disagreed on the price. But despite that, he went as far as to let me set up my tent on his property for free to ensure my safety, which really showed his kindness and hospitality. One important thing to note—before booking, make sure you can afford the trekking with him. He’s very passionate about it, and there could be some misunderstandings if you stay without booking a trek. But overall, if you’re looking for a welcoming place with a great host and a solid trekking experience, this is a great choice!

Thousands of Bottles - Hostel and Trekking Agency Sumatra Orangutan Nature features a shared lounge, terrace, a restaurant and bar in Bukit Lawang. We loved our stay here. The room is so lovely, beautifully furnished with wooden elements, the bed is super comfy, private bathroom is great and there is a lovely terrace to hang out plus great common space downstairs. hosts are also great and helpful. higly recommended.

Such amazing people and great hospitality - always had great chats with Frank and Titus. The location is as good as it gets with a view of the spot and a minute walk from the keyhole. Our room had everything we needed. We would come back for sure!

Amazing vibes and super chill environment. The owner and all of the staff are incredible and super fun people to hang with. You go to this place as a stranger but even after a couple days you become like family. I wish I could have stayed longer. 30 min drive to Saroke but no problem because it was easy to rent scooters from salty dog. Best place ever!!

RedDoorz Hostel @er staðsett í innan við 1,8 km fjarlægð frá Medan-lestarstöðinni og 4 km frá Maimun-höllinni. A very central hostel with plenty of restaurants and cafés nearby. The receptionist speaks good English and is very helpful. Highly recommended! Tip: Bring a USB charger, as the capsule only has USB ports—power outlets are available only outside.

Located within 2.9 km of Maimun Palace and 3.2 km of Medan Grand Mosque, Medan Dazhong Backpacker's Hostel offers rooms in Medan. The property is non-smoking and is set 1.9 km from Medan Train... Very friendly staff and owner. Also very helpfull when you need or want something. The best thing we could do was book the jungle trek tour. Our guide Edi Caterpilar was doing great teaching us all the stuff he knows about the jungle. We saw many oeran-oetangs and other monkeys. Also other animals like a weird river-turtle. Rafting in the end is also worth doing, very nice ending of the trip!

The owner is a very nice man, helpful in any way he can help with. Providing tips for travellers and arranging tour with the people he knows across the region. He gives honnest prices and don't try to scam you. Of course you need to dare talk to people to have a good experience.

Pondok Wisata Istana XI er staðsett í Medan, í innan við 400 metra fjarlægð frá Medan Grand Mosque og 3,3 km frá Medan lestarstöðinni. Gististaðurinn er reyklaus og er 500 metra frá Maimun-höllinni. First very disapointed because the booked superior room was very dirty and had a very bad smell inside. Bought an upgrade to VIP room, it was much better and my stay was fine. Bed was big and comfy, facilities to make tea/coffee in room. A/C worked fine. Alfa Mart near to hotel.
