Berunes is a historic, family-run farm by the Ring Road, 35 km from Djúpivogur, quietly set on a fjord between mountains and sea. Guests have access to a fully equipped kitchen, and lounges. Location!!! Extreamly beautiful spot! I wish we stayed there longer!

The farm is located in the most beautiful scenery and although one could say it's a bit isolated the location is just perfect for the purpose. The place is charming and genuine with tons of character and atmosphere. The best part however is definately the staff. The ladies of the house were extremely welcoming and lovely. We enjoyed our stay to the full and were so happy to have the chance for a ride with the amazing horses. Loved every bit of it.

I would definitely recommend it for other travellers. ahh and I loved that guests were given freedom to use the sauna anytime.

Hafaldan HI Hostel - Harbour Building er staðsett á Seyðisfirði, 4,1 km frá Gufufossi og býður upp á gistirými með sameiginlegri setustofu, ókeypis einkabílastæði og grillaðstöðu. Absolutely lovely stay here, there is a beautiful cat there to greet you (Brossi I believe his name was). The bed was super comfortable and the bathroom was very clean. The shared kitchen and lounge area is very cosy and there are music instrument to play around with too.
