Located a 5-minute stroll from Shimoyoshida Station, Hostel & Salon Saruya offers a renovated 80-year old Japanese-style accommodation with free WiFi. The place was super cozy and looked a little bit traditional. The woman at reception was super warm and helpful. She gave me tips to get a nice dinner and I bought a breakfast with them (Highly recommended!).

We had a room with a view of Mount Fuji and it was unreal to wake up and see it from the window. Free tea, coffee, snacks and drinking water was a great touch. The ability to wake up and go to the roof top for sunrise then go back to bed after is perfect.

High scale hostel with great atmosphere, common areas are pleasant and inviting. We stayed in the family room with private balcony and the view of Mt. Fuji was stunning. Sitting at night having a drink with the mountain view is priceless. The family room is really spacious and spotless clean. The common kitchen is exceptionally equipped, and they offer free fresh brewed coffee every morning. A collection of updated travel books in the dining room are useful.
