Located a 5-minute stroll from Shimoyoshida Station, Hostel & Salon Saruya offers a renovated 80-year old Japanese-style accommodation with free WiFi. It's an absolute gem of a location. So cozy and peaceful. It felt like I was back in my grandparents' room, only it's in Japan. It sucks that you have to share the building with other people and use the same facilities, but if you're staying for 1-2 nights, you will not regret your stay!

She even provided me with a raincoat when she saw me taking one of the umbrellas since u was riding a bicycle, and it was not safe holding an umbrella while riding the bicycle. The bed was comfortable, and the top floor had a good view of mt fuji. There were free bicycles, umbrellas, ear plugs, snacks, coffee, and candies. The staff will also help you with getting your luggage downstairs.

The owner was very sweet and kind, she welcomed us with a warm smile, and kindly let us park the car at the car park. The traditional Japanese room was very clean and lovely, and the place was quiet. The room had a view of the majestic Fuji-san, which allowed us to quickly know whether it was visible or covered before leaving the hotel. We simply loved the experience, I highly recommend it!
