They offered snacks and tea and coffee for breakfast. They were very helpful in showing us around Battambang. There was aircon in the room which was good for the price. And even though the shower was quite small the water was powerful and hot

The shared bathrooms were clean. The hostel offers tours, bicycle, and scooter rentals. Also, the food is very good and affordable. The location is also close to a river view bicycle path. Plus they help you buy great bus tickets.

I really enjoyed my stay at this hostel. The dorm was very clean, with lovely milky semi-transparent windows that made the room a little bit bright when lights are on in the hallway, and if they got too light, closing the curtains worked perfectly. The staff were great, always attentive and quick to clean the pool whenever leaves fell in. The pool’s grey tiles can make it look a bit cloudy, but I often saw the staff maintaining it. Overall, a caring team and a comfortable stay.

Boasting a shared lounge, terrace, bar and free WiFi, Social Backpacker Hostel & Rooftop Bar is set in Battambang, 800 metres from Colonial Buildings and 1.1 km from Battambang Museum. This hostel was the highlight of my Cambodia trip! Great value for money. The hostel also organises tours of the area and that was a great experience and also fantastic value for money. There is a very chill rooftop upstairs, and the space downstairs is nice for chilling too. AC works well in the rooms. The owner is super cute and has only just recently opened the hostel so is very open to suggestions and making the space better. I would definitely stay here again and am honestly a bit disappointed I couldn’t stay longer.
