This is hands-down the best hostel in Pakse. From the moment of checking in, I was greeted warmly by the lady who manages the property. She had all the travel information I could possibly want at her fingertips. "Motorbike loop around Bolaven Plateau? No problem, here's a map and the places where you'd want to stay. Want to rent a motorbike? Sure, here are your options. Heading to Si Phan Don next? Got it, you'd want this minivan at this time." Best of all, she speaks English fluently (not a common occurrence in Laos at all). The rest of the hostel was excellent as well. Beds were extremely clean. Sockets to charge your phone right next to the bed. The shared bathrooms were cleaned frequently throughout the day. Bedrooms were quiet and kept that way. The air-conditioning was powerfully cold. All of this for US$8 (LAK 175k) a night! Awesome.

Really friendly staff and owners, great food, plenty of opportunities to do things around the island (walk, cooking class, boat trip) or just relax, read, and unwind in a hammock. If you are looking for a place to relax during your travels, this is the perfect place to stay for at least several days if not a week or more. The sunrises are absolutely beautiful. Tanoi and Sander were wonderful hosts and always available if you needed anything. They also checked in to see how I was doing throughout the day, and we had good conversations about Laos history and other topics. The first night I was there was Tanoi's birthday, and all guests were invited to the dinner celebration. Room and bed were comfy. There was hot water in one of the shared bathrooms if needed.

Located in Pakse and with Wat Luang reachable within 200 metres, Nisa hostel provides a shared lounge, non-smoking rooms, free WiFi throughout the property and a bar. The staff was super nice and helpful, they even warned us about some scammers. The rooms are spacious and clean, beds are comfy.

ANOU HOSTEL er staðsett í Pakse, 500 metra frá Wat Phabat, og býður upp á gistingu með garði, ókeypis einkabílastæði, sameiginlegri setustofu og veitingastað. We have stayed in a double room, with hot water shower and even hair dryer. For us, the fact that they also serves other meals besides breakfast (decent prices) was perfect, no need to search other locations for food after returning for day tours. There is also option for some tours that can be done on shared tuk-tuk for good price. You can write your name on a plate at the reception, so that other can see and make the arrangements together.

Right on the river. Sunset side. Close to everything but still private. Laundry and bike rentals right there. Go eat at tevendang restaurant. On other side on the way to the bridge. Her food and kindness are amazing.

First time in a hostel, we were delighted, the common area is very clean and very pretty. The female dormitory was also very good and not many people during our stay. And in addition it is very well located and the staff is very nice.

Quiet but in the middle of restaurants and cafes. Situated in front of the night market, ATMs , Korean food, even a Thai coffee shop . Chato is your best option . Skip the trendy , pricy places, as they are not always the best. Sleep well at Chato .
