Located in Nuwara Eliya and within 3.7 km of Gregory Lake, 176 hostel features a shared lounge, non-smoking rooms, and free WiFi throughout the property. The bedding was incredibly comfortable. I had a very good, much needed sleep. The bathroom was new and clean.

The host helped guide on what to do, places to eat and was quite helpful throughout my trip. Loved the hospitality and would recommend who is in on shoe-string budget.

Nice private room, quiet location on large road, but away from city center noise. Being in Nuwara Eliya was a welcome break from heat! Comfortable bed, room had a small table with two chairs and a sofa bed. Nice that the wall socket had two USB ports. Large spacious bathroom with great hot water. Nice western breakfast of fruit, omelette and toast. We hiked to Single Tree Hill and to Lover’s Leap Waterfall from the house. Haran the host spoke excellent English and his multicultural background enables him to be super welcoming. When he offered to cook dinner for us, I asked to watch his preparations and spent a delightful two hours learning about making curries, as well as learning more about the culture. Dinner was an excellent value as the portions were generous and food was freshly prepared.

Nothing to complain about for the price. Got a room upgrade for a small extra amount, which was nice. Breakfast was included and good, and the dinner ordered separately was also worth the price. The road leading to the place is a bit bumpy, but manageable. Has parking space. Overall, a pleasant stay and would recommend.

Laxapana Wilderness Home stay er staðsett í Norton Bridge og státar af sameiginlegri setustofu og ókeypis WiFi hvarvetna. The owner was quite helpful with providing us with the directions to the location as we got a little lost on the way. The owner's brother was expecting us at the door as promised. When we arrived we were greeted with tea, coffee and lovely Sri Lankan butter cake. The lady of the house was really friendly, kind and hospitable. She allowed us to make our dinner in her kitchen. We had a comfortable rest in our room after a very long day. The lady also gave me a kettle to use as I had coffee sachets. Drinking water was available from a water filter. The room and bathroom was very clean and we had blankets and quilts in case it got a bit chilly which it did later that night. The next day the lady (Amma) offered us chickpea's ,onion and egg sandwiches for breakfast. We asked for the sandwiches to be toasted and she went out of her way to do so. She also gave us black coffee with ginger which was the first time we tried it and it was lovely. Overall our stay was comfortable just what we needed after a very long bike ride. We definitely recommend this property as our stay was pleasant and the family was so lovely. We will surely visit again. Great value for money!!!

Such a cute hostel. The location is beautiful on the lake! The breakfast was great and when we went for a sunrise hike, the staff even made us sandwiches to take with us :)
