The location is perfect — very close to Sigiriya Rock and Pidurangala, and also just a short walk or ride from the main town. It’s very convenient yet peaceful, surrounded by greenery and a relaxing garden atmosphere. The breakfast was really delicious and fresh every morning, and it’s included in the price, which makes it such great value. Everything is clean and well-maintained — the beds are comfortable, the sheets smell fresh, and the bathroom is spotless with good water pressure. They even provide a hair dryer, lockers, and free tea and coffee throughout the day, which I really appreciated. The overall vibe of the place is cozy and welcoming. The staff are friendly, and the owner, Isu, is incredibly helpful and kind. He helped me arrange a safari to Hurulu Eco Park — it was affordable, well-organized, and I got to see so many elephants up close! This hostel really offers more than expected for the price — comfort, cleanliness, good food, and a warm local touch. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Sigiriya!

Jungle Host Hostel er staðsett í Sigiriya, 5,1 km frá Sigiriya-klettinum og státar af garði, verönd og útsýni yfir garðinn. I had the most fantastic time. Such sweet little treehouse dorms with the best hammocks and balconies. The guys here are a blast- quirky, down to earth and fun! Far enough by not too far from the main part of sigiriya. I kept extending my stay here! Great value day tours that they offer!

Sigiri Birds Hostel er staðsett í Sigiriya, 1,7 km frá Sigiriya Rock og býður upp á gistirými með garði, ókeypis einkabílastæði og verönd. Room was lovely, big bed and misquote net. Shower had hot water and there was a lockable cupboard for valuables. Hosts were so kind, very helpful and genuinely wanted to make sure everyone had a nice stay.

Located in Sigiriya, 7.5 km from Sigiriya Rock, Vibra Hostel provides accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a shared lounge and a restaurant. The people at this hostel took us to Pidurangala and Mapagala in their own vehicle at sunrise and sunset. We also went to see Pahalagama Lake and Sigiriya Fort. They provided very good service.

Located in Sigiriya, 2.5 km from Sigiriya Rock, Jungle Trails provides accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a shared lounge and a restaurant. Jungle Trails is a raw gem. If you’re looking for a sense of luxury at a budget price point, this is a great place to stay while it’s still being developed. The location is excellent, the property and rooms are beautiful, and the owners are incredibly kind and attentive. While they are not always on site, they are consistently prompt and responsive to any questions. Do keep in mind that this is a jungle setting. If you are very uncomfortable with insects or wildlife, this may not be the right fit — or you may prefer a higher-end property designed to be more sealed from the surrounding environment. It’s also worth noting that Wi-Fi can be spotty depending on where you are on the property, and mobile signal does not reliably reach the area. This means you are quite disconnected, which some guests will love and others may find challenging. The staff went above and beyond to help in this regard — they even relocated the router to my dorm, which I happened to have to myself. Overall, a beautiful and memorable stay with great hospitality.

Located in Sigiriya, within 2.9 km of Sigiriya Rock and 5.5 km of Pidurangala Rock, Elegant Elephant Hostel provides accommodation with a garden and free WiFi throughout the property as well as free... It was clean and nice. Beds were comfortable and because the hostel is a bit further away from the city, you can get good night sleep!

Set in Sigiriya, within 4 km of Sigiriya Rock and 5.9 km of Pidurangala Rock, Night Owl Hostel Sigiriya offers accommodation with a garden and free WiFi throughout the property as well as free private... I’m from Japan!! This was such a wonderful place to stay. Very clean, and above all, the people are amazing. Kani is extremely friendly and kind. He did so many things for me!! I also admire his way of thinking—he truly values encounters and connections with people. You can see it not only in his words, but also in his actions. Thank you for the precious experience in Sigiriya!! Highly recommended!!! Some people may think it’s a bit far from Sigiriya Rock, but actually the entrance is on the west side, and I believe this is one of the few places within walking distance around there.

There was a pool in the bedroom of the king suite, which was amazing, and the bed was incredibly comfortable. I also enjoyed the buffet breakfast and dinner that was included.

Honestly one of the best hostels I’ve stayed at during my time in Sri Lanka. The place is clean and comfortable, breakfast was always delicious, and the one dinner I had there turned out to be the best meal of my trip — tasty, generous, and great quality. What really made it special was the people. Maliya was so kind and helpful, always there if I needed anything. He even took me to a beautiful sunset spot nearby and walked me to the bus stop when I checked out. Those small gestures really meant a lot and made the stay unforgettable. Highly recommend this place!
