Kin Hostal and Camping er staðsett á Holbox Island og er í innan við 1,4 km fjarlægð frá Playa Holbox. I had a very good experience at Kin Camping. The owner and the staff are very nice and helpful. The camping was very clean, and the kitchen great. The atmosphere of the camping is relaxed and friendly.

Casa Universo Holbox er staðsett á Holbox-eyju, 700 metra frá Playa Holbox, og býður upp á loftkæld herbergi með ókeypis WiFi og upplýsingaborði ferðaþjónustu. The host was very helpful and always available. They have bikes for rental at 30 pesos ($1.6) per hour, so very decent pricing. The room was so spacious! Almost every hotel we stayed at had only HOT or COLD water, nothing in between. This was literally the only place that actually had warm water which was amazing! The hammock was so comfy that came with the bed. There was a shared kitchen with pots and pans, refrigerator, coffee maker, etc. She even had free water which most places did not have any. They had AC too which was lovely. It was also only a block or two from the ferry, super nice when we had to leave in the morning.

Mimosa Tulum er staðsett í Tulum, 3,1 km frá Tulum-fornleifasvæðinu og býður upp á gistirými með útisundlaug, ókeypis einkabílastæði, garði og verönd. It is much more than a hostel. Room was fun and very nice. Location is great and staff was always helpful.

Hostel Humanity er staðsett í Puerto Morelos, 28 km frá safninu Museo de Undir vatninu í Cancún og býður upp á gistirými með útisundlaug, ókeypis einkabílastæði, garði og sameiginlegri setustofu. The host Ben took the time to welcome me and direct me via a map to the best places to eat and local happenings, like the Sunday fleamarket, which I otherwise would have missed. He spent time discussing his vision and the ethos of the place which I appreciated. The pool and covered patio was very welcoming and peaceful. I met and talked to interesting people and it was nice to socialise with older travellers for a change. (I was one of 3 other solo women travellers). When dogs from the street charged at me, which was scary, Ben was immediately by my side to chase them away. Ben, thank you for that and goe taking time to ensure I felt very at home at Humanity.

Ukayil býður upp á gistirými í Bacalar. Herbergin á farfuglaheimilinu eru með sérbaðherbergi og rúmföt. Chetumal-alþjóðaflugvöllurinn er 34 km frá gististaðnum. Spacious and clean room, comfortable bed, nice extra touches like coffee, water and a small fridge, walking distance to everything you need. Would definitely recommend Ukayil!

Hostel Oryx Tulum er staðsett í Tulum og býður upp á útisundlaug, garð, sameiginlega setustofu og bar. Beautiful hostel in a quiet area but in the centre, close to the bus station! Staff were super helpful and the hostel cat was the cutest 😍

Mayan Monkey Tulum - Social Hotel er staðsett í Tulum og býður upp á veitingastað, útisundlaug, bar og garð. Great hostel that feels more like a hotel. It‘s very spacious and clean and the food they offer is really good, too. They also have a nice coworking space. I was afraid it would be too much of a party hostel, but that wasn‘t the case because even though it can get quite loud outside, you don‘t hear a thing in the dorms because they are so far away from the terrace.

Situated in Cancún, 200 metres from Playa Chac Mool, Mayan Monkey Cancun - Social Hotel features accommodation with an outdoor swimming pool, free private parking, a terrace and a restaurant. Very nice place, beauiful interior. I slept in dormitory room, clean bed and showers, big lockers. There are towels, you can change it every day. Very tasty breakfast and a lot of menu options. Many chill areas. 3 min by walk to the ocean. Opposite side - shops and cafes. For the hostel 30$ is expensive, but considering that it’s high season and first line I was satisfied. Also very close to Coco Bongo :)
