Location: Right in the middle of historical district, 2-3 minutes away from parallel famous Jonker street, Dutch church of 1753 year, river bank with bridges, Chinese and Indian temples, mosque, souvenir shops, café, restaurants, 7-11 shop, ATM, Little India district. My room: My room was narrow, but it had double bunk beds, solid window, air conditioner, ceiling fan, lockers and tiny table with stool. Each bed has own privacy curtain, lamp, socket/plug, cloth hangers and small shelf. Clean and comfy bed with two pillows, blanket, towel, shampoo and two bottles of water have been provided. Outdoor common space has a table with some seating area and small wall jungle, tiny kitchenette and bathroom with hot showers and toilets. It was nice to meet and talk to other travelers from different countries. Free Wi-Fi worked very well in the room and outside in the common area. Hostel is the same in reality as in booking.com pictures. I can recommend Ola hostel for international community as a comfortable and safe place to stay, especially for women travelers.

This was my best stay in Malaysia (&Thailand). The room was very spacious, there were ambient lights along with the big lights. Little things like a mirror was inside the dorm bed section itself, there were hangers to keep clothes, a small locker, charging ports that support universally, big locker below the bed, very comfy mattress, and AC was also cool. The kitchen + common area was giving a good view and had a nice comfy setup. The cafe beside had great food so that was a savior.

Everything was great—the place, the cats, the staff, the location, etc. However, a note for the ladies: the wash area is on the 3rd floor, but some of us, including myself, have been using the male bathroom on the 2nd floor. A staff member even saw me using it but didn't say anything. A few of the travelers I met mentioned that the staff and male guests don't mind at all, so it's not really an issue. Still, it was a bit embarrassing for me. 🫢

We really enjoyed our stay here. The location was perfect—only a 5-10 minute walk to Jonker Street and Dutch Square and just around the corner from some nice restaurants. Wi-fi worked perfectly, the accommodation was super clean, and the communication was easy between the owner/manager. There are also hot water showers and filtered water, which are much appreciated! We didn't need it, but a kitchenette is available for use and a small, nice communal area with a table and couch.
