We had an amazing stay at La Urraca Loca. The location on the island is perfect for most activities. The hostel is an oasis of beautiful plants and the rooms are great. Also Daniel is very helpful and attentive. I’ve recommended this hostel to everyone who visits Ometepe since it is probably my favorite on in my two months in Central-America. Also shoutout to the lovely kitten Gnocchi (such a good name.. ;))

Really friendly and helpful staff, good food, fun Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy Theme. Nice location, walking distance to town/the ferry but quiet and away from the commotion.

Nómadas Hostel er staðsett í Moyogalpa, í innan við 37 km fjarlægð frá Maderas-eldfjallinu og býður upp á garð, reyklaus herbergi og ókeypis WiFi hvarvetna á gististaðnum. The beds are comfortable, good kitchen, relatively close to everything in Moyogalpa.

Cocos Hostel er staðsett í Moyogalpa og er með garð. Verönd er til staðar og gestir geta nýtt sér ókeypis WiFi og ókeypis einkabílastæði. Staff was so kind, room was clean and comfortable with a fan for each bed, location was perfect for getting on the ferry the next day and they are able to help set up rides/excursions. Excellent value for the price, would definitely stay again!

Hostal Casa Moreno er með útisundlaug, garð, sameiginlega setustofu og verönd í Moyogalpa. Þetta 3 stjörnu farfuglaheimili er með ókeypis WiFi og bar. Everything was great! Super nice and helpful staff. Helped us organize tours and transport. Breakfast was great. We will come again.

Raindance er staðsett í Santa Cruz og býður upp á útisundlaug, garð, bar og ókeypis WiFi hvarvetna á gististaðnum. Gististaðurinn er reyklaus og er 1,7 km frá Santo Domingo-ströndinni. We stayed in one of the new private rooms which had a bathroom. Nice distance from the party on a Wednesday so no issues with sleeping. Staff were super helpful. Easy to rent a scooter at the accomodation to get to all the main sights.

Rainbow Caravan Hostel er staðsett í Las Pilas, 17 km frá Maderas-eldfjallinu og býður upp á gistirými með garði, ókeypis einkabílastæði, sameiginlega setustofu og veitingastað. The place was very clean and tidy, tranquil, and no noise at night which is rare in Nicaragua because there's always someone making some noise. The food was quality, homemade vegan goodness. Making a fire was cool and it has all the modern amenities like a fridge and cooking equipment so you can bring beer. Didn't have any bugs unlike some of the other hostels i stayed in on Ometepe. It's quite a good location equidistance between the two towns and near the start of Volcan Concepción. I recommend renting an ATV rather than a scooter at the port and picking it up in Ometepe, don't trust the people on the San Jorge side. The hostel also offers scooter rental although I picked mine up at port. Very photogenic hostel and peaceful.
