Absolutely loved staying here! The Ella, Joilene and Philip are the absolute best and without them the experience would not have been the same. Honestly it felt like family vibes! Can't wait to go back :)

La Urraca Loca Hostel er með garð, verönd, veitingastað og bar í Balgue. Gististaðurinn er með grillaðstöðu og er staðsettur í innan við 12 km fjarlægð frá Maderas-eldfjallinu. I fell in love with Ometepe and this ended up being the perfect spot. Wonderful people, wonder place and a great price. A special mention to Luis at the hostel. I forgot to collect my passport after handing it as security on my quad bike and he done some digging for me to find someone who could bring it safely to Granada for me. Excellent service throughout. I just know i will be back. I have a friend visiting soon and i will no doubt recommend he stays at this location.

Set in Popoyo, a few steps from Popoyo Beach, Marumar offers accommodation with a garden and free private parking. The accommodation features a shared kitchen and free WiFi throughout the property. Great accommodation, all the amenities were clean and comfortable. Located close to the tide pools, which was a highlight of our stay!

Viento Este Guest House er staðsett í Popoyo, nokkrum skrefum frá Popoyo-ströndinni og býður upp á gistirými með garði, ókeypis einkabílastæði og bar. Had a smashing time at Viento Este. Simple, clean beach living. I stayed here for a month with zero complaints. Nico made it feel like home. Easy access to the brilliant pizza restaurant three times a week was a bonus! Highly recommend!

Hostel Life is Good er staðsett í Moyogalpa, 39 km frá Maderas-eldfjallinu, og býður upp á gistingu með garði, ókeypis einkabílastæði, sameiginlegri setustofu og verönd. Excellent atmosphere, very spacious privates and the owners are lovely. They can organise anything for you, scooters, hikes ect.

Hostal Villas Mexico er staðsett í San Juan del Sur, 300 metra frá Marsella-ströndinni, og býður upp á gistingu með útisundlaug sem er opin hluta af árinu, ókeypis einkabílastæði, garð og sameiginlega... We booked with Hostal Villas Mexico because it was budget friendly and close to Maderas. At first we felt a little out of place because no one spoke a lick on English and there were no other English speaking travellers there either, but as we were exploring the place a couple of ladies who work there introduced them selves and took the time to show us around and patiently dealt with our bad Spanish as we tried to communicate how appreciative we were that they were showing us the beautiful land. Apart from the free breakfast and coffee they had already made us, they also made us the most delicious fried fish rice and chips for lunch, and invited us for dinner! They were so accommodating lovely and sweet! I sadly can’t remember all their names…. Maria, Janet? I think haha And…. Gosh I don’t remember but three main ladies seem to run the joint and they are awesome! We joked around, got hugs, and it ended up being a very lovely stay. Cabana #2 was sooo clean, had a mini fridge, air conditioning, super comfy bed, tv with cable with lots of movies you can swap to English, Clean ensuite that provided plenty of TP, clean towels soap and shampoo. We Felt super safe and secure, as there is security at the front gate, and again breakfast, coffee and packed lunch included (though we had ours there) it was great! Very quiet and chill and surrounded by lots of trees and plants and they are adding more diversity and plants all around, can’t wait to revisit in 10 years to see how it looks! Super super close to marsella and 5 minute Moto ride to Maderas.

Set in San Juan del Sur and within 200 metres of San Juan del Sur Beach, Nalu Nalu Hostel has a garden, non-smoking rooms, and free WiFi throughout the property. Great spot. Quiet but still enough people around to meet and explore with. Hosts are accommodating

Cocos Hostel er staðsett í Moyogalpa og er með garð. Verönd er til staðar og gestir geta nýtt sér ókeypis WiFi og ókeypis einkabílastæði. Staff was so kind, room was clean and comfortable with a fan for each bed, location was perfect for getting on the ferry the next day and they are able to help set up rides/excursions. Excellent value for the price, would definitely stay again!
