Khloe's Serenity Guesthouse was our best accommodation in the Philippines, and one of the best guesthouses we've stayed at in all of Southeast Asia. The rooms are efficient and clean with good use of space and plenty of room to store your bags. Shared bathrooms are kept very clean as well. But the family who owns this guesthouse is what makes it really standout. They are so kind and welcoming, will take good care of you and make you feel like friends. The village itself is also nice to walk around. We did not rent a motorbike, which did limit us a little bit, but they helped arrange a private tour of Bohol at a good price for us.

What a place this is, as much a philosophy and attitude to life than a hostel. Special thanks to Christine, but all the staff, grandma, cats and dogs, go out of there way to make your stay memorable. I loved the open air dorm the hammocks and grounds. The dinner was exceptional. Free coffee, morning hike and lemongrass tea:)

Situated in Panglao, within 700 metres of Dumaluan Beach and 11 km of Hinagdanan Cave, Izla Soanna features accommodation with a garden and free WiFi as well as free private parking for guests who... My favourite hostel in a 2 month trip. At first I was going to stay in Izla Soanna for 3 nights and ended up staying 9 nights an then coming back! The rooms are very clean and comfy, they have a fan per bed and nice mosquito nets. There is also the option of affordable private rooms. The location is just perfect, very near the nicest beach in panglao and at short distance from alona where all the touristy shops are. What I enjoyed the most was the people there, Anna, Flor and Sofia will make you always feel like home, they are extremely nice, helpful and funny. Definitely worth spending some time with them!

GREENSPACE in Panglao provides adults-only accommodation with a garden and a terrace. Located around 2.7 km from Dumaluan Beach, the hostel with free WiFi is also 11 km away from Hinagdanan Cave. Excellent value and modern amenities. I'm especially impressed with the smartTV that I can log into YouTube and Netflix. Although it's not on Alona, I've never had problem hailing a Grab within 15 mins to go to my dive shop on Alona. Next door there is an excellent Muay Thai gym called Tiger Muay Thai and it's worth checking out too. Service was very warm and they offer local tours at an excellent price compare to vendors on Alona beach.

Comfortable and clean, there's small tables and stools to hang out in the porch and a desktop inside the room where you can work, hot water worked well, the location is good and easy to find

Be My Guest Hostel in Panglao provides adults-only accommodation with a garden, a shared lounge and a terrace. I liked that it was more authentic than the usual hostels and the family were super lovely. The nicest place I stayed in the Philippines. A 60 peso bike gets you into the more touristy Alona, or you can rent a bike at the hostel

Riu del Mar Hostel is situated in Dauis, 5.8 km from Hinagdanan Cave and 40 km from Tarsier Conservation Area. Boasting a shared kitchen, this property also provides guests with a terrace. Perfect place to disconnect and enjoy nature! Staff is really friendly, Steph gave amazing tips of where to go for beach & sardine run. They have a kayak that you can use for free.
