Very friendly and attentive owner. The communal areas (kitchen, lounge) are well kept and well equipped. The private double room is very nice and cosy. It was great to have a heating system as the air was quite damp. We stayed there in winter and we were mostly the only guests. Don't hesitate to come and visit Alexandra :)

Engenho Hostel er staðsett í Lajes do Pico og býður upp á ókeypis WiFi. Allar einingar eru með flatskjá með gervihnattarásum, ísskáp, kaffivél, sturtu, hárþurrku og skrifborði. Very nice location, one of the best in Pico, in my opinion. Restaurants, shops, supermarkets. Plenty of parking spaces and a nice view over the ocean :) The house is very clean and equipped with the basics one might need. The communication was very good, at all times there was a phone number available. And the bonus: books! Books everywhere!! Loved this place so much!

This is an amazing place on pico Island. An old convent with several rooms. I like the area very much. Very friendly and helpful staff. I was lucky there was a local fado cincert in the convent while my stay. I was allowed to parc my bicycle insidethe convent The breakfast is simple and good 👍

Also loved the location and that there was a pool which my grandson used almost everyday. The apartment was clean and towels were changed everyday. Any issues were quickly dealt with.
