We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Youth Hostel. Everything was very clean and accessible. The staff were extremely kind and helpful regarding bike rentals and routes, restaurant referrals, and bus schedules and routes. We enjoyed seeing and hearing the laughter of the many young people who board at the hostel and study at the adjacent high school. It felt as though we were part of a very pleasant community for two days. In particular, the room and breakfast buffet were perfect for our needs.

The hostel offers a buffet or continental breakfast. Lovely setting a few steps away from the Skocjan Caves. My husband and I arrived on bicycles and were to happy to be able to eat dinner and breakfast the next morning here as the neared big restaurant is 7km away. Jure, our host, made an amazing dinner for us and Paula made an amazing breakfast the next morning. (Dinner and breakfast are not included in the price of the room). The hostel also has a fully stocked bar so we were able to enjoy a cold beer after a long, hot day.

Featuring a shared bathroom with a shower and a hairdryer, rooms at the hostel also have a city view. Fantastic, to call it a 'Hostel' is to undersell it as it is no average hostel. Extremely friendly and accommodating staff, sparkling clean, great kitchen, common area is great, bathrooms fab. The host gave us lots of tips of things to do in the area, shops restaurants etc. Really went above and beyond. An almost Faultless stay and our only disappointment was that we could not stay more than one night. Best Hostel we've ever stayed at. Thank you
