Nicest place we've stayed in Taiwan. It's so nicely decorated, comfy, the communal kitchen is out of this world, we loved it. Relaxing atmosphere, we decided to spend a few hours of the day reading in the library next to the kitchen.

Featuring a patio and a cosy non-smoking living space, Norden Ruder Hostel is located in Taitung City, 800 metres from Taitung Railway Art Village. Free WiFi is available throughout the property. Great place. - Convenient location. - Smart use of space in a tiny room. Everything is convenient and well thought out. - Communal spaces are not advertised enough :) Each floor has a spacious meeting room and also a lounge area with a water refill station. There is a shared kitchen equipped with all you could think a kitchen might need, as well as a separate space for preparing coffee or tea. Plenty of seating on the first floor, where you can sit or even lie down. There’s even a bike maintenance station. - Very nice people working there. Located within 5.1 km of Taitung Night Market and 3.1 km of National Museum of Prehistory, Cong Sen Backpackers Hostel provides rooms in Taitung City. Very nice owner. He let me check in early. Very clean and comfortable. I departed early in the morning and he still made me breakfast-very nice! Even gave me fruit and an energy drink for my bike ride. Cheers!

Taitung Ohana Sky Hostel er staðsett í Taitung City, 5,9 km frá Taitung-kvöldmarkaðnum og 1,8 km frá Taitung. This is a great hostel with friendly, welcoming hosts! I found the bed to be really comfortable and the room to be spacious and clean. The common areas are also nice and relaxing and there was a large space for bicycles. The two hosts were exceptionally nice and helpful. I would definitely stay here again!

40Inn Backpackers Warehouse er staðsett í Taitung City, 500 metra frá Taitung Railway Art Village og 700 metra frá Taitung Zhonghe-hofinu. Ókeypis WiFi er til staðar. The owner and staff person were both extremely friendly and helpful. They gave lots of activity and food recommendations and also helped me call local businesses to check their hours or book things for me. The owner even gave me a ride on his scooter to the e-bike rental place because the rental place said to hurry before a tour bus was scheduled to arrive. The vibe was very homey and the owner and staff would often hang out at night and just chat with me about what I did that day and stuff. They were really easy to get along with and it was a super welcoming vibe, unlike the very transactional default of any other hostel or place to stay at. I found myself looking forward to returning to the hostel at night so I could tell them about whatever funny thing happened that day, and I felt like I could ask them for help if I ever needed it during my time there. Also there's a very cute, friendly, and quite big orange cat who lives there (but he's out of sight most of the time).

Jamie and her mum are wonderful, they made sure I spent my time in Luye wisely, chatted about local spots and interesting tidbits, and made me feel so welcome. They called a local train watching spot just to see if they were still open so I could go, and had me eat pineapple when I told them I still hadn’t tried it. 🥹 Breakfast is a delicious home cooked meal, I borrowed a bicycle in the mornings to bike around, living room and kitchen are cosy and quaint. Beds are closer to each other and less private than city hostels which I loved since I was able to meet and chat with fellow travellers, unlike big hostels where everyone keeps to themselves.

Homely and cozy hostel with a nice common area at the entrance to watch tv/read a book/play with the cat. The dorm room is large enough not to feel cramped. Toilets and showers are very clean. Staff is helpful, speaks good English and gives local recommendations.
