Nicest place we've stayed in Taiwan. It's so nicely decorated, comfy, the communal kitchen is out of this world, we loved it. Relaxing atmosphere, we decided to spend a few hours of the day reading in the library next to the kitchen.

Tranquilo Hostel í Donghe býður upp á gistirými sem eru aðeins fyrir fullorðna, bar, sameiginlega setustofu og verönd. Hvert herbergi er með sameiginlegt baðherbergi. Everything was perfect, rooms very comfortable and clean, the staff is super sweet and helpful. Would definitely stay here again. 10/10

Located within 5.1 km of Taitung Night Market and 3.1 km of National Museum of Prehistory, Cong Sen Backpackers Hostel provides rooms in Taitung City. Very nice owner. He let me check in early. Very clean and comfortable. I departed early in the morning and he still made me breakfast-very nice! Even gave me fruit and an energy drink for my bike ride. Cheers!

Their kindness is the highlight of the stay. Otherwise, the facilities are clean and of good value, not too far from the train station. Highly recommended!

Providing free WiFi, 40Inn Backpackers Warehouse is situated in Taitung City, 500 metres from Taitung Railway Art Village and 700 metres from Taitung Zhonghe Temple. The owner and staff person were both extremely friendly and helpful. They gave lots of activity and food recommendations and also helped me call local businesses to check their hours or book things for me. The owner even gave me a ride on his scooter to the e-bike rental place because the rental place said to hurry before a tour bus was scheduled to arrive. The vibe was very homey and the owner and staff would often hang out at night and just chat with me about what I did that day and stuff. They were really easy to get along with and it was a super welcoming vibe, unlike the very transactional default of any other hostel or place to stay at. I found myself looking forward to returning to the hostel at night so I could tell them about whatever funny thing happened that day, and I felt like I could ask them for help if I ever needed it during my time there. Also there's a very cute, friendly, and quite big orange cat who lives there (but he's out of sight most of the time).

Luye Jamie's Guesthouse er staðsett í Luye, 3,6 km frá Luye Highland-svæðinu og 4,2 km frá Chulu-búgarðinum. Öll herbergin eru með sérbaðherbergi með sturtu. Very relaxed and cosy with a delicious breakfast and comfortable beds. The host is incredibly kind and helpful, and is able to recommend many activities that can be done in the area as well as other parts of Taiwan. Can’t recommend staying here enough!

The location is close to train station and almost every where! The facility is super clean. The bed is comfortable and the shower is strong and great. Nice and quiet location! I enjoyed my staying ! This place is home away from home. I highly recommend to my friends and my family. I will be back!

There are free cookies, coffee and tea in the kitchen. There are also colored pens and pencils for painting. Bicycles are also freely available. Due to an accident in which I lost my mobile phone, I had to stay longer. The owner accommodated me even without ordering and went with me to the store to buy a new mobile phone - this was so nice as without phone and language skills it was hard for me. The hospital for treatment is also very close :-) During my stay I felt as at home. It was quiet, clean and I had everything I needed. I fully recommend.

Jackson is the most helpful person ever, and he has clearly put a ton of effort and thought into making the most smoothly operating hostel I've ever visited. Free laundry. Alot foreign guests when I was there. Night markets were closed during my stay, which is sad, but be sure to check out the wet market at No. 263之1號, Zhengqi Rd in the morning (450 meters from the hostel) and the "dusk market" at No. 81-103 號, Hanyang N Rd in the evening.
