Terrific position in town with panoramic views. Air-con worked very well as did the TVs too. Comfortable bed.

This a purpose built 2 bedroom holiday accommodation for us to enjoy and also we have allowed guests to stay at Broke Village Hideaway since 2009. Each room has a flat screen TV and reverse cycle air conditioning. There is a queen room with an ensuite that has a shower over the spa bath. There is also a double room and a main bathroom with a double shower with separate vanity. The kitchen/dining/lounge is open planned for a better flow through to the spacious outdoor, undercover verandah with comfortable lounge seating for taking in the relaxed rural outlook.
My partner and I fell in love with Broke Fordwich when we discovered it 10 years ago on a weekend away. After that we found a wonderful block of land with a lovely mountain/pastures outlook and got Broke Village Hideaway built. We are passionate about this wonderful boutique wine region. Once you visit you will agree that this area is very special.
Broke Fordwich is a picturesque boutique wine region of the Hunter Valley. There are a dozen, or so, wonderful cellar doors to choose from in the vicinity. The people in this area are passionate about the wine, the history and being able to share it with holiday makers. There are also a few wonderful restaurants in Broke. Margan's Restaurant is open Friday night, Sat, lunch & dinner & Sun lunch. Nightingales Restaurant is open for lunch & dinner Wed to Sunday and Mount Broke open for lunch Sat/Sun. There is a magnificent local wine tour business, awinetourinbroke who can take you to find some hidden gems amongst the dozen, or so, boutique cellar doors in the Broke Fordwich area. The house does have neighbours, behind and beside on one side but, the views are out to the mountains and pastures. Absolutely, beautiful. There is a local shop in Broke which is the service station, post office, general store, take away shop , bottle shop, pub and restaurant.
