The Other House is the perfect choice for luxury self-contained accommodation close to key locations in the Adelaide Hills. This 3-bedroom circa 1900 bluestone house boasts generous outdoor entertaining areas and stunning views across Piccadilly Valley from the front verandah that overlooks the large, shady garden. Recent renovations bring all the modern luxuries and conveniences into the home. From the fully equipped kitchen fitted with modern appliances, to the stylishly decorated bathroom featuring quality towels and linens, the overwhelming feeling is of comfort and peace. The main bathroom, with a 3/4 bath, full shower and separate toilet are located inside the house with a 2nd toilet and vanity located in the adjacent laundry area. The house is perfect for couples wanting to escape to coziness and tranquility or to have a base from which to explore the Adelaide Hills but it also lends itself to small groups and families needing a private getaway in picturesque surroundings. The 3 separate bedrooms with one king bed, one queen bed and one large single bed allow privacy and space for families and small groups and a large dining table in the kitchen/dining area and outdoor dining in the covered pergola provide many all-weather options for enjoying meals together. We provide a welcome basket on arrival with provisions for a light breakfast on your first morning. There are great local cafes where you can eat out for breakfast for the remainder of your stay or supermarkets and specialty shops nearby which provide a good selection of fresh food to be able to make your own in the fully equipped kitchen. Surrounded by spectacular vineyards, the house offers peace and privacy, yet is only minutes away from the cafes, restaurants and pubs in Uraidla, Crafers and Stirling and only 25 minutes from the city of Adelaide.
Located close to historic Uraidla, the local countryside abounds with bountiful orchards and vineyards while the home provides convenient access to award-winning Adelaide Hills wineries, Mount Lofty Botanic Gardens, cycling and walking trails, as well as numerous local pubs and restaurants featuring quality local produce.
